Oakland Site Director
I am originally from the small town of Bells, Tennessee. I grew up a preacher’s kid, so we moved a lot. I graduated from Haywood High School in 1986 and from Jackson State Community College in May 1989 with an Associate of Science Degree in Office Administration. When we lived in Grand Junction, I worked for Hardeman County Bank and worked with Mission Friends and G.A.’s at church. In August 1992, I was set-up on blind date with a gentleman who is now my husband. Wilmer Ray and I have been married for 24 years, and we have 3 children. Our oldest son Taylor, who is now 22, was one the first kindergarteners at Macon Road Arlington. We were so excited and blessed to be part of the school and to watch it grow.
I began teaching one of the K4 classes at the Arlington campus, but shortly after school started I found out I was expecting our second son, Andrew. And in July 2008, we were given temporary legal custody of a little girl named Madison. Shortly thereafter, we began the adoption process. Her adoption into our family was finalized in 2010. I was thrilled to return to Macon Road as a substitute teacher for the Lakeland campus in 2011. I was so excited when I heard about the opening of the Oakland campus. I have been the Site Director for the Oakland campus since it opened in 2012. It is such a blessing to see these children grow and learn about God, and I am blessed to work with such wonderful Christian ladies.
